COMMISSIONED ABSTRACT ART COLLECTION for GOULD’S Day Spa & Salon

The abstract paintings in this collection shows you that abstract art is not simply Representative or the creation of a narrative on canvas, It is Liberated from formal rules. abstract art is free to explore the classic subjects of figurative art (landscapes and nature, cities and portraiture and even invites the viewer to Visualize what cannot be seen. The artist represents Color, motion or the impression of a moment, a memory and/or a feeling.

Collection “Eclipse” was finished by Evelina Dillon on July 8th 2020. It was Commissioned by David Gould, owner of Gould’s Day Spa & Salon for the Collierville Location on Houston levee.

Gould’s salon spa Turning Heads Since 1932

In 1932, Sam Gould opened a small hair salon in Memphis, Tennessee. His dream was to provide his clientele with a truly professional and unique fashion experience. Sam envisioned a chic, upscale ambiance which was considered a Hollywood luxury at the time. Sam’s vision was realized as his salons and his name became a recognized signature in Memphis. Gould’s evolved and expanded, adding locations throughout the Greater Memphis area and was eventually passed on to his sons Philip and David, who carry on his legacy of fine service and commitment to providing a unique, fashion-forward experience. Evelina’s goal was to represent and interpret history, time, change, Culture of the Gould’s company into an art form and To add reflections of her own Life Experiences.

Art collection “Epitome” Invites you to think about How many different parts and pieces takes to Create, run and perfect an entity. There are many things not visible to the eye, but with one Part missing, the Whole body suffers or becomes useless. That model applies to Human Health, to a family, to business, to organizations and to a life itself. Every piece in this collection explores different sides of togetherness. Each experience leads to Certain benefit, including negative ones where Oddly shapes create peaceful harmony.

Collection “Epitome” consists of seven paintings.

“Effusion” acrylic painting on wooden board 144”wx72”H.

Painting made up of three Panels, each panel is 48”x72”. Heavy texture with layers of color bring feelings of time and space. The Painter invites the Viewer to think about Knowledge and understanding that constantly evolves. Renewal of both is necessary and also beautiful. Only after understanding does knowledge becomes solid.

Saying “Being at The right Place at the right Time” is Used when the story teller can not Decide if the chain of events was just a luckY chance or If it was Planned by design.

Can the concept of equinox be applied to the ability to use both Sides of the brain? Why is one side mostly dominant? What changes have to occur to Engage both spheres?

Self analysis of one’s own conscious thoughts and feelings, while in the spiritual context. it refers to the examination of one’s soul. Thinking about Ourselves is not the same as knowing ourselves. Finding out the causes of thoughts, feelings and behaviors leads to “Why?” Paralyzes us on the problems, The Question “what am I feeling?” Helps us to Understand ourselves. “Why” and “what” are always present in our lives.
